Terms of use
The agreement between you and us for using RaceCoach: plans, billing, crew, downgrades, safety at sea and the rest.

1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Traditio Digitalis Consulting Ltd ("we") for your use of RaceCoach. By creating an account you accept them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement applies as well. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Prices in your country are set by Apple or Google in your local currency and shown before you buy.
3. Billing
Paid plans are subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play. They renew automatically at the end of each month or year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Apple or Google charge you and handle refunds under their own rules; we can't issue refunds ourselves. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
4. Boats and crew
- The owner of a boat decides who crews on it. What crew can do follows the owner's plan, not the crew member's own plan.
- Vakaros sessions imported to a boat count against the owner's limit, whoever imports them.
- You can transfer ownership of a boat to a crew member if they have a free boat slot on their plan. A Free user has none.
- If an owner deletes their account, their boats are deleted for everyone.
5. If you downgrade or your plan ends
Nothing you have stored is deleted when you change plan. What changes is what you can edit:
- Pro to Entry: one boat stays editable (the one you used most recently) and your other boats become read-only. Your crew can still view, but no longer add or edit. If you have more Vakaros sessions than Entry allows, they stay readable, but new imports are blocked until you're under the limit.
- Paid plan to Free (cancelled or lapsed): your cloud data stays readable but can't be changed, and your crew keep view access. If you want a copy of your data, ask us (privacy policy, section 8).
- Resubscribing restores everything as it was.
6. Your content
What you add to RaceCoach (logs, notes, photos, voice notes, imported sessions) stays yours. You let us store it, sync it and show it to the crew of the boat it belongs to, only so we can run the app. When it's deleted, that permission ends.
Only add content you have the right to share, and think before adding personal details about other people to notes or session names.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use RaceCoach to break the law, to harass anyone, or to store content you have no right to. Don't try to get into other people's accounts or boats, overload or attack the service, or get around plan limits. We may suspend or close an account that does, after warning you where we reasonably can.
8. Safety at sea
RaceCoach is a racing and training aid. It is not a navigation instrument and must not be used for navigation or safety decisions. Position, speed, heading, VMG, maps and conditions can be wrong, late or missing. The skipper stays responsible for the safe handling of the boat and for complying with the racing rules and local regulations.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep RaceCoach running and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under the law where you live, or limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit. Within those limits, we aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for race results, damage or injury arising from relying on the app at sea (section 8).
10. Ending your use
You can stop using RaceCoach and delete your account at any time (privacy policy, section 7). We can close the service or your account with reasonable notice, or straight away for a serious breach of section 7 of these terms.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll post the new version with its date and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Price changes come through Apple or Google, who tell you before they apply.
These terms are governed by Irish law. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's law and can bring a claim there.
